Default Server 2 update

I think it's time. The game is clearly getting renewed attention from the owners. We've had a number of critical updates and I believe more updates will follow. Sure to follow the updates must be an advertising campaign (otherwise, why bother?). So we should also expect an influx of new players in the not-too-far future.

I remember that when I started, I found the wiki a very useful resource, especially in terms of understanding the different technologies and the research tree.

How should we go about adding S2 specific information?

And - who would like to contribute?

Wiki isn't hard to write. We had a thread of the updates people wanted. If anybody wants to write up the text I can get it formatted onto the wiki pages. I just don't write well.

I am happy to write if you could build a backbone structure for S2 information.

AFAIK it is almost all there already. We just need to add notes about differences between S1 and S2 and add the S2 specific stuff.

I'm not sure what do you say is there already. Searches for "S2", "Server 2" and "Server2" return very few meaningful results (if any). Question is - where should the S2 specific stuff you mentioned go and what pages need to be created. This is what I called the backbone, which I can't find atm.

Well, over 95% is the same between the two servers with some subtle differences and some things that are very different. My thought was to list each section and mostly note the differences.

Almost all of the Wiki was written before S2 came up so there is very little S2 there. With S1 at a point where you can't build any more we probably need to transition a lot of the info into S2 descriptions instead.

You're the architect. If you lay the fundaments, others will build.
Perhaps you could modify the front page and one other example page to how you see it.
I think there are two options:
1. Where applicable, create a separate S2 page (basically treating S2 like eras were before)
or
2. Where applicable, divide each page into S1 and S2-specific information.
