RULES
We hope that you enjoy playing medievilwars.com! For the benefit of all members, the following general rules and policies apply to everyone. If you find any post or topic in which any rules here are being broken, please report the offending content to a member of Staff as soon as possible. We expect everyone to treat each other with respect and courtesy. At no time may forum content become insulting, slanderous, derogatory, abusive, hateful, prejudice, illicit or adult in nature. This includes any abuse directed to medievilwars.com staff and vice-a-versa.

The Staff reserves the right to change the rules and policies at any time.

The Rules

1. DO NOT create more than one account. Each player is allowed only one account. The sharing of your account or password with another player is forbidden.
    a. Registration. The e-mail address used for the registration of an account must be under the personal and exclusive control of the person who registered the account. The owner of an account is fully responsible for all actions taken with the account.


2. Players Sharing an Internet Connection. Regular sharing of a connection must be reported to the Staff in the Disputes and Billings section of the forums. This rule applies to anybody that shares a computer or network with one or more players. A shared network could be one household, your workplace or school.
    a. When sharing an internet connection the interaction between the accounts is limited, you are not allowed to:

      i. Make direct trades with one another. Trades with one another may be made through the use of the National Market.
      ii. Provide military support to one another.
      iii. Attack/Spy on the other account(s).
      iv. Provide in-game intelligence to the other account(s).


3. This is an international game; our members can be of any religion, race, nationality, skin colour, age, political believes, profession or ethnic belonging. You MUST respect our members.
    a. English is the official language. All profiles, descriptions, signatures and in-game forum posts must be written in English.

      i. An exception to this is the use of a valid foreign character that would create a feeling of national esprit decor in the post, but not distract from the meaning of the post. An example of this would be the use of the symbols in the words Goði/Gyðja in the following sentence: For a description of the position of Lesser Goði/Gyðja, please see the Commonwealth Constitution.

    b. We understand that English is not the primary and in some cases secondary language of many of our players, but we ask for an honest attempt at trying to post in English. If this is difficult, please contact a Moderator who will assist you.



4. Rudeness, bullying, flaming, trolling, offensive language, and sexual references are strictly prohibited. This includes the masking of letters in words used to describe the aforementioned.

5. Please think before you post. Keep to the utmost minimum pointless posts such as "yes", "no", "cool" or just smileys. The only exception is made for the Casual Chat.
    a. Create a concise subject when making a new topic, give a descriptive title to your thread, which will adequately summarize your topic. Do not use a player's name in the subject line.

    b. Be constructive. If you don't have anything good to say then don't say anything at all. Constructive criticism is welcome, derogatory comments are not.

    c. Search the forums and the tutorial before posting. Your question may have already been discussed and/or answered.

    d. Do not use the forum like a chat room. Use the personal message system to chat with other members.

    e. No Bumping of posts and threads.

    f. Be patient. All the users of this forum/game are participating in their own time.

6. Don't overuse/spam the Staff and other players with the PM system. The Staff is here to help but, our schedules do not allow us to respond to every message in an immediate manner. Furthermore, some players may not log in on a daily basis and may not be able to respond to you as quickly as you would like.

7. Advertising and promotion are strictly prohibited. Posting other games, pay-per-click, commissioned, affiliate, or referral links are not allowed.

8. Under no circumstances we will allow our members to offer, promote, distribute or discuss publicly illegal material such as warez, porn, and any other unauthorized content.

9. Trading and Resources
    a. Every account must be played to its own benefit and may not be used only to support another account.

    b. Being blackmailed into sending resources as tribute is considered bullying and therefore not allowed.

    c. Push accounts which are created for the benefit of boosting another account are not allowed and will be deleted. Accounts that are knowingly being pushed/boosted by these accounts will also be punished.

    d. The Market and Trading shall be used to buy/sell/trade goods. It is not a storage area nor a safety deposit box.

    e. When paying restitution to a kingdom, for damages caused during an attack, please post your action in the Restitution Forum.

10. Combat
    a. Bashing/Excessive Attacks. Attacking a single player, residing in the country of the origin of attacks, five or more times within a 24 hour period is considered bashing. Bashing is forbidden and may result in a ban from the game.

    b. Attacking the Staff. The Staff are not allowed to participate in the day to day activities of the game. Therefore, no player shall attack, spy on, or spell any of the Staff.

11. Selling and buying of accounts and in-game objects. You are not allowed to play accounts for commercial purposes, nor are you allowed to sell objects gathered as a result of playing.

12. Bugs and errors. Every player is obligated to report critical bugs immediately by posting it on the forum. Using bugs to gain any advantage may lead to account banning.

13. Bots and Scripts. The game is to be played with a normal browser only. Bots, browser add-ons and other applications that automate game activities are forbidden.

14. Premium Accounts. No player has the right to claim payment or replacement for premium bonuses lost due to suspension/banning. There are no special treatments for premium players regarding the rules.

15. Members may not try to impersonate Staff in any way.

16. Members may not represent a banned member in any way.



Policy and Procedures


Text Policy

Out of courtesy to your fellow forum members, please post in the standard black font, unless you need to emphasize a specific point. The Staff may post in an off color to draw attention to their statement.

Emphasis text is limited to 3 colors and 2 font styles per sig (including defaults). phpBB Code is enabled. Text must be in the English language and the text size may not exceed the "Normal" font size.

    Signature Policy. Signatures / avatars content may be removed if it is deemed inappropriate by staff.



Warnings, Suspensions & Bans

The Staff reserve the right to take any action that they deem necessary, without prior warning, to manage the content of this forum. This includes, but is not limited to, topic / post editing, deletion, moving, or closing, member warning, suspension, or banning, and text / URL censoring.

What constitutes a violation the Rules and Policies is the sole discretion of the Staff, as is the judgment regarding any accompanying consequence for the violator. Violators may be warned, given an infraction or banned, temporarily or permanently. Depending on the level of severity, the player will be dealt with accordingly. The following serves as only a guide:


  • Under normal circumstances the player will be issued a single warning or an infraction.
  • Under heavier circumstances the player will be issued one or more warnings and/or infractions and may be suspended/banned.
  • Under extreme circumstances the player will be permanently banned from medievilwars.com.

  • When a player has been warned, or has received an infraction the player will also receive a personal message from that Staff explaining why they were warned, or given an infraction. Players may reply to this PM to explain their actions, ask a question or ask for an appeal of the Staff's decision in the Disputes and billing support section of the forums. Disputes and discussions concerning a ban or violation of a rule is not open for public debate.

    Inactivity of an Account
    Deletion of an account may automatically occur if an account is considered inactive. Inactivity is defined as not logging in for more than 30 days. If a special circumstance requires to to be unavailable for 30 days, please contact the Staff.

    Privacy Policy

    Your membership information is treated in the strictest of confidence and will not be sold or otherwise provided to any third party.
